How it began!
It all started through the kind family of a long time benefactor, Mr David Calleja. David was an influential business man with significant pride in his local community. After his untimely death in late 2004, the family decided that it would be his wish to continue assisting the health service he supported and attended. David was an avid car collector and had a significant stable of rare and unique cars which the family provided as an initial attraction for a fund raising memorial car show which then occurred in January 2006.

Consequently, we are donating $50,000 towards the Foundation for Rural & Regional Recovery (FRRR) and Wildlife Victoria to support the recovery and relief efforts for communities and wildlife impacted by bushfires.
“Millions of hectares of Victoria and New South Wales have burned. Managing Director of Chadwick Geotechnics, Tim Chadwick says, “those areas are so much more than just land and forest, they are natural habitats and ecosystems.
“That’s why we are also donating money for ecological restoration to support the rebuilding of enclosures and equipment lost in the fires and animal rescue and care projects. There are significant natural habitats and endangered and at-risk species under threat, urgent action and support is critical”.
General Manager of Tonkin + Taylor Australia Richard Hancy says, “We recognise the impacts on people and communities from the bushfires have been massive and are ongoing. Recovery efforts for rural communities will be complex and pose challenges unique to each individual area. Communities need support to do what is right for their unique situations."
“The FRRR provides grants to local not-for-profit groups for community-led projects that address the most pressing needs that emerge 12-18 months after a disaster event. We hope that our donation to FRRR will go some way towards helping to accelerate the recovery and meaningfully supporting those affected”.
Chadwick Geotechnics and Tonkin + Taylor extends our deepest appreciation to the fire-fighters and emergency workers and our heartfelt best wishes for a successful recovery.

As part of our Wellbeing Programme 2019, the team at Chadwick Geotechnics invited Glenn Manton to be their Guest Speaker on Mental Health, Quarter 3’s topic.
Glenn was funny, honest, provocative and insightful, the feedback received has been universally positive. We will be inviting Glenn back for a follow-up workshop.
