Approval of Place of Quarantine |

Chadwick Geotechnics has received approval from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) that allows us to receive and test soil and rock samples that enter the country under quarantine conditions. The laboratory is classed as a 5.1 Quarantine Containment Level 1 (QC1) facility and has been set up initially to complete laboratory testing on soil/rock samples from Antarctica, but it is envisaged that this will expand as news spreads of our ability to test imported soil samples. |

In June 2012, Chadwick Geotechnics was contracted to supply one of our Senior Field Engineers, Matt Noonan, to a Consortium that were undertaking a feasibility study for the design of a tailings dam, haul roads and processing plant in Papua New Guinea. The role included management of the geotechnical works to drill a series of boreholes to 50m for the processing plant.
