Level 1 Earthworks Supervision

Our team provide independent guidance, advice and supervision on earthworks projects for many commercial and residential developments in accordance with AS3798 Guidelines. We are able to work closely with all stakeholders on material suitability, moisture and compaction levels achieved/required to ensure the best outcome for the project.

As part of the Level 1 services we provide Quality assurance testing using qualified and licensed operators which forms an integral service to the civil construction industry to work within requirements set by the project local, state and federal governments, project designers, water authorities and rail network providers.

Landfill

Chadwick Geotechnics has extensive experience locally and internationally, working alongside landfill and waste disposal facility owners and operators, auditors, and consultants, during construction of new containment cells, leachate storage, and treatment facilities.

Providing independent Level 1 and Level 2 services acting as the Geotechnical Inspection and Testing Authority (GITA) during construction of landfill cells, pond subgrade, and compacted clay liners. We also act as an independent geosynthetic Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) supervision service during the installation of geogrid liner support systems, geosynthetic clay liners (GCL), geomembrane liners, protection geotextiles and leachate collection systems including vertical and inclined leachate sump riser pipes.

Geosynthetics Verification Consultant (GVC)

Third party GVC, ensuring contractors are collecting relevant test samples of GM, GCL and GT materials. We also then verify and send them to independent laboratories for materials testing – as specified by the latest EPA Victoria’s Best Practices Environmental Management (BPEM) requirements for construction of clay liner landfills.

Field Investigation, Logging and Sampling

The Chadwick Geotechnics’ field engineering team are highly practiced at logging and sampling, they have extensive experience and knowledge working in the Asia Pacific region on a wide variety of projects.

Our teams are able to provide engineering support services whether it is field supervision of earthworks projects, geotechnical and environmental investigations, infield borehole logging of drilling programs and sampling for design projects, SPT, CPT, Earth Resistivity, Thermal Resistivity, pavement investigations for state and local governments.
